DAVID VENTO
Multidisciplinary artist, director and choreographer
David is a multidisciplinary artist, director and choreographer who focuses his work on dance, physical theater and circus arts.
He began his dance career as Break Dancer in his hometown, Salamanca. Breaking led him to compete at the highest level all around the world. This language of urban dance inspires the common language in all of his creations. Also he handles the circus element of Cyr Wheel with virtuosity.
In his development as a visual artist and stage director, David's career has been influenced by various languages and experiences.
He joined the Circle Of Trust urban dance company in 2004 and began working with Cirque du Soleil in 2008, which was a major leap in his career that led him to explore new artistic areas.
Nowadays, David regularly works on large opera productions at the Teatro Real under the direction of acclaimed directors such as Romeo Castellucci, Claus Guth, Hugo de Ana, Déborah Warner, and Robert Wilson, with whom he has been collaborating since 2016. He is part of the opera Turandot, directed by Wilson, currently on a world tour, where he plays the role of the Prince of Persia and other characters in this grand production. David also participated in the Watermill Summer Program: A Laboratory for Performance, in New York, under the artistic direction of Bob Wilson, where he was part of the Staging Workshop for Turandot.
In the sports and cultural realm of Breaking, it's worth highlighting that David Vento performs an important role through La Unidad Breaking Club, thanks to his extensive experience as a promoter of national and international events. He founded the first Municipal Breaking School in Parla (Madrid) and is part of the Breaking Commission of the FEBD and the Technical Direction of the national Breaking team in Spain.

Dance, Physical Theater and Circus Company
In 2018, David created the David Vento Dance Theater company, after the premiere of the dance piece Indala, which was awarded as the best choreographic creation in two competitions.
- First prize in the Urban FACYL International Competition.
- First prize in the young creators in Madrid Competition.
In September 2019, the show Neanderthal premiered, subsequently receiving the FETEN 2020 Award for Best Show. Neanderthal received two nominations for the Max Awards 2022: Best Revelation Authorship for David Vento and Best Female Dancer for Paola Cabello Schoenmakers.

CAST
The artistic team is composed of dancers from different disciplines and musician Silberius de Ura - Neønymus. Silberius is a key element in the works, both as a performer and as a composer of original music. He manages to create a live and immersive sound atmosphere that captivates the audience. His career is a guarantee of his talent, being nominated as a finalist for the 2018 Music and Sound Awards alongside Hans Zimmer for Best Original Soundtrack for the Conquistadores Adventum series, and also receiving the 2018 FETEN Award for Best Sound Space.
Breaking champions Graciel Stenio and Anthony Yung, dancer and acrobat Iván Benito, Victor Lázaro, dancer and circus artist, and Paola Cabello Schoenmakers, contemporary dancer and educator, complete the casts of the current touring shows alongside David Vento.
Logela Multimedia provides the videomapping, which together with David Vento, generates and integrates images into multimedia scenic devices.
In the case of Neanderthal, lighting design is by Juan Carlos Gallardo, lighting designer for the CND, who masterfully envelops the work with an impactful staging.
